Just a short report about the
2009 show to let everyone know that we
had another grand success. After
two weeks of rain the sky cleared
and was bright and sunny both days,
weather was very nice.
We were packed with a great selection of
merchandise and the vendors were
the friendliest and most helpful you
will ever find.
Classes were packed full of happy
students and the projects they worked on
were very high quality. We received so
many nice compliments, many saying that
they have come away recharged with
enthusiasm for doll making.Everyone enjoyed the charming atmosphere
of the little county church,
even the husbands got to visit and have
fun. Where else have you ever taken
your husbands where they could sit
around sip coffee, swap guns, knives and
tall tales!!! Most even pitched in and
helped where needed. It is more like a family reunion
than any other show you will ever
attend.
Plans are already being made for
2010
Classroom space will increase a bit, we
are hoping to include some more
demonstrations and more charming class
projects.
We do have a few new vendors that will
come so start planning,
bring a group, spend the day or possibly
two. We will hold this event
on October 15th and 16th just after the
Universal Doll Society Convention in
Texarkana. UDS will be hosting a doll
competition and workshops also and
we present the Mystic Mold Award each
year for best entry from a Mystic
Mold. This coming year anyone that
enters will receive
a special gift,so get your thinking caps on and
get that winner made!!!!
