stopped in and looked, rooms were clean, front desk
extremely nice and helpful. Not as nice a breakfast as the
Holiday Inn next door BUT room rate for the show is $64.00.
Quite a difference. It really looks good to me and it is

a rate of $89.00 a night, Govt. rate is $75.00 if you
can get it. I talked to the manager and it was best
they would give, same as aarp, aaa and such so no
special deal really. Tomorrow it will be on the
computers and reservation can be made through the 800
number or to the Hotel itself. The phone number is 903

thing is it just opened on Sept. 15th and very nice,
very nice breakfast selection, free wireless internet.

OK, rest of the story....... and my personal observation!!! I
stopped at the Holliday Inn Express first. It is newest and I
had hoped they would give a wonderful deal. Front desk girls
were very nice but the Manager was cool and did not seem
interested so much in blocking off rooms. She kept telling me
to get information together and call her back. I had the
information!!!!! The rate given is the standard rate if you
have any of the discount cards like aarp or aaa so it is no big
deal.
I went next door to Best Western and it is a nice fairly
new property. It is well maintained and the desk is extremely
friendly. I asked to speak with someone about blocking rooms,
the lady there got right to the point and gave me a rate of
$69.00. I asked if she could do better and she called the
owner and got $64.00. Due the response and friendless (and
$25.00 difference) I have to pick Best Western!!!!!!
